As someone who went through extensive orthodontic treatment as a young teen, it is an honour and a privilege to be an orthodontist. I know first-hand the positive impact that orthodontic treatment can have on one’s self-esteem and it brings me so much joy to help those in my community smile more and have confidence when they enter a room. I have therefore dedicated my professional life, years of extensive training and education, and attention to detail to creating healthy smiles and bites for my patients.
I completed my undergraduate science degree (B.Sc Honours) and Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Western Ontario. I then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Craniofacial Sciences and a Diploma in Orthodontics from the University of British Columbia. I am both a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
I have had multiple papers published in journals spanning many areas of science and orthodontics and won numerous awards for my contributions to the scientific literature of the dental profession. I also serve as a reviewer of new orthodontic literature for multiple journals in orthodontics. As a result, I have been invited to speak at various conferences in both Canada and the United States.
In my spare time, I enjoy skiing, swimming, and playing hockey. I also enjoy going to the movies, tasting new food, and traveling with my wonderful wife Fernanda.
